How ResurFX lasers work?
The ResurFX™ fractional laser is a state-of-the-art, non-ablative, skin resurfacing technology. ResurFX™ fractional laser stimulates the production of new collagen and elastic fibers in the deeper layers of the skin. Stimulating new collagen production is the key to a more radiant, youthful looking skin.
What can ResurFx laser skin treatment be used for?
Our laser can be used on all areas of the face and body. By resurfacing the skin, treatment can be offered for discoloration of skin (hyper pigmentation and mild rosea), enlarged pore size, sagging of skin, fine lines and wrinkles, periorbital wrinkles (crows’ feet around eye area), and deepened nasolabial folds (smile lines). Unsightly scars are treated by stimulating collagen and elastin growth, softening the appearance of scars.
What can I expect during the ResurFX treatment?
Typically we use a topical anaesthetic cream and most patients find the procedure very comfortable due to the non-ablative nature of the ResurFx lasers. A cooling air device is used on the treated areas for additional comfort. Treatments can take 20 minutes or more, depending on the size of the targeted area.
What can I expect after the ResurFX procedure?
Most people can return to their normal activities immediately after the treatment. There is usually some redness and mild swelling of the skin for 1-2 days following the procedure. Skin may feel like a minor sunburn. Make-up can be worn if desired. Over the two weeks following treatment there is some mild peeling as the old skin is exfoliated.
How many treatments are needed?
For best results usually a series of 3-5 treatments, every 2-4 weeks, is recommended
