Imaging excellence and affordability are the cornerstones of our business. To meet this commitment, we BULK BILL all Medicare Eligible Scans. Bulk billing means no gap payment and no large, unexpected out of pocket expense.
MRI Scans
Medicare will cover the following MRI examinations referred by a GP for patients over 16 years of age: head, spine, knees (applies to certain conditions). Medicare covers the following MRI examinations referred by a GP for patients under 16 years of age: head, spine, hips, elbows, and wrists (applies to certain conditions). Your Specialist can refer certain adult patients for Medicare Eligible MRI (applies to a limited number of conditions).
In the case that an MRI scan is not Medicare eligible we charge a competitive fee. Please check with our reception staff when booking.
Please Note: you will not be refunded by Medicare for MRI fees for non-eligible examinations
Interventional & Pain Management Treatments
As a speciality service we charge a flat $80 consultation fee for all Interventional and Pain Management treatments.
The cost of all eligible examinations is bulk-billed to Medicare on the day of the examination– this happens in most circumstances. Medicare rules are very strict and some patients are not eligible to claim a Medicare rebate. These patients are therefore, required to pay a fee at the time of consultation. If you are unsure please ask at the time of booking.
